Little green and fertile oasis, like the most important “Foresta Umbra”, weaken pitting of this rock highland. Foresta Umbra (Umbra Forest), green hearth of Gargano National Park, is the greatest forest of broad-leaved in Italy with 10000 hectares of extension field. At first sight a sensation of awe catches you, as you are in a naturalist temple. Venturing into the forest, the light of sunbeams seeps through a lush vegetation: a breath- taking panorama comes into the world. In hot mid-summer, the forest is a haven where you can go to take care of yourself with the silent coolness of the big trees.
